A couple of new cards to show you...
The first is one I made for Ed's birthday. It's a special one as I made it in about 15 minutes!! It got to the day before his birthday and I still hadn't managed to make him a card and I felt really guilty, so I told him not to look whilst I made him one in the corner of the room haha! It's ok to admit that I didn't really put much thought into it, so I'm surprised how it turned out...I actually quite like it! Maybe I work better under pressure ;-)
The second is a wedding card I made for George and Mel. I have tried to include the magenta colour of the bridesmaids, so hopefully it'll be extra special for them :-)
A family friend asked to buy more of my cards the other day, she chose 11!! She's nearly cleared me out, so I need to get making again...things are a bit slow on the card making front at the moment! I was really chuffed though, nice when people appreciate your creations :-)

I'm not doing very well with photos at the moment, the light isn't very good on them. I think it's because they're last minute photos as I usually forget to take a photo and then realise that I haven't taken one just before I send it. So this will have to do! It's a card for my friends, they got married last week. I used cuttlebug alphabet for the letters, swiss dots, Fiskars border punch, card candy and ribbon flower embellishment from my stash.

Don's 80th
Here's a card I made for Don's 80th...I decided to use the monkey image (given to me by Kate I think!) and added an 'in joke' on it. Whenever we say somebody is a cheeky monkey, Don always replies with 'But you'd look funny without them' so I decided to incorporate it into my card. The image is coloured with markers, paper is doodlebug, the '80' done on cuttlebug, greeting on computer, rounded corners with punch, ribbon from stash and dew drops to finish :-)

I decided I liked one of the layouts in the last lot of cards I uploaded, so I thought I'd do a couple more variations of it. I tried to emboss the first 'Happy Birthday' but it didn't work and I got completely messy, with glittery embossing powder all over the place. I love the effect of embossing but how do people do it without getting in a mess?! I mostly struggle to get all the remaining powder off the card before embossing it, so in the end it just looks messy. And then I went and dropped my Versamark pad in the embossing powder, so I don't think I can use it again arghhh! That'll teach me to try something different! Anyway I ended up just stamping it in the end...

I'm back!
It's been so long since I blogged that I can barely remember how to do it. I have gotten very lazy with it, I haven't posted for over a year but I still read everybody elses blogs and love browsing for inspiration :-)
So I will upload a few of my latest cards. I won't write down all the materials I used because it can get a bit tedious but if you'd like to know, just leave a comment. A special mention should go to Birds Blog though, as I have used a couple of her free digital images on these cards :-)

Even MORE cards!
I told you there would be a rush of cards! The first one is another take on the Poetic Artistry sketch which I did a few weeks ago. The stamp is a Stamps Away stamp from Clever Cut, they're so cheap and really nice images too. The sentiment was also a stamp from Clever Cut.
Both the cards are using Laura Ashley Papers. I'm quite pleased with how the second turned out, it's not my usual pink and purple card so makes a nice change. The third picture is of a cake that Ed and I made! It's a chocolate fudge cake. I wanted to decorate it with these gorgeous pink decorations but we were trying to be careful with our money and Ed wanted it to be plain anyway. It tasted gooood!
I've added a 'Blog Candy List' to the right of my page. I thought this was a good idea, as people can take a look and it shows clearly when they are finishing. So keep remembering to check it out! I am determined to win some candy haha!

Making Memories Card/Paper
I found some lovely paper at Craft Central not too long ago, it was stripes and spots in various colours. It didn't have a name on it so I asked the lady at the counter and she said it was Making Memories. I have looked for it online and I can't find it anywhere!! The only thing I found was this site, you can see the paper I mean halfway down the page. This catalogue looks as though it's a few years old so the only thing I can think of is that they have stopped doing it or something. Any ideas?
Here are a few of my cards. I've used Penny Black stickers on the first two. Capture The Magic had a sale on Penny Black stickers so I stocked up ;-)
